Location:
The private, Caribbean palapa houses with two rooms, as well as the studio apartment, are located approx. 5 minutes from Akumal, approx. 10 minutes from Puerto Aventuras, approx. 20 minutes from Tulum center and approx. 30 minutes from Playa del Carmen in a calm and peaceful site. It is about 7 minutes by bus or car to the white sandy beach 'Xpu Ha' with many small beach clubs, and about 30 minutes to the famous Caribbean dream beach 'Playa Paraiso' in Tulum.

The Colectivo vans stop on the main road, about 300 meters away. You can find shops with large supermarkets, restaurants, bars, banks, pharmacies etc. in Puerto Aventuras (10 minutes), Tulum (25 minutes) or Playa del Carmen (30 minutes). A small supermarket, pharmacy and a vegetable market are located in Akumal (5 minutes). The beach of Akumal, which is known for the turtles living there, is approx. 5 minutes away by colectivo or rental car. The Nature Reserve and white sandy beach of Xcacel is 10 minutes from here and the best for a relaxing getaway. Various cenotes and lagoons can be also reached very quickly.

Three times a week we drive you to beaches and beach clubs in the area, we bring you there in the morning and pick you up again in the afternoon (extra shuttle service).

On request, we will serve you coffee, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and small snacks in the garden by the pool. Relax in the garden and enjoy the pool, plan your next excursions or explore the beach clubs in the area! It is worth it!

Description:

Both palapa houses with a rustic thatched roof and a typical Caribbean style, as well as the first floor studio apartment are located in a calm and private residential area with many single houses and apartments.
Many small sand-gravel paths trough the jungle invite you for a walk or doing sports. From time to time, you can see little monkeys, parrots, Caribbean birds and iguanas.

Built in 2019 and completely renovated and redesigned in 2020/21. The houses are family owned. The hosts are German and Mexican and speak German, English and Spanish.

The Garden, Pool and Jungle

The garden is surrounded by a white wall, overgrown with a number of shady palm trees, tropical plants and colorful flowers. In the middle of the two houses lays the beautifully large pool with a small waterfall and seating right in the water, framed by tropical palm trees and plants. It invites you to sunbath and relax. The large, typically Mexican and wooden palapa in the garden with a rustic wooden roof and a terrace, as well as typical Mexican decoration, offers enough shade for reading, lounging or doing yoga. You can have your breakfast there, sun loungers and colorful hanging chairs invite you to linger. On request we offer a professional massage by an external masseuse. Relax on the sun terrace in the garden with view on the pool. In the garden are also colorful hammocks in the shade of some palm trees. Each house has its own hanging space for laundry, too.

Furnishing:

The two Caribbean-rustic houses are about 60 m2 in size and extend over two floors. They are completely new and very lovingly furnished, with two rooms, a modern kitchen and shower/restroom. The bedroom with a king-size bed and a small wardrobes is located on top of an open gallery under the roof, accessible via a rustic wooden staircase. Air conditioning and fans are available. The fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, coffee maker, gas hob, toaster and a microwave has an adjoining sitting area and is perfect for everybody who likes to cook. You are also able to have breakfast or dinner comfortably on the terrace in the garden palapa. The living room is comfortably furnished with a pull-out sofa bed (possible for a 3rd or 4th person to sleep), a living room table and a TV. In the location WiFi is available. Smoke alarm, mosquito doors and windows with blinds for darkening are also present. Cold and warm water, basic equipment for cooking and eating (pots, pans, plates, cutlery) are available. On top a parking space belongs to the house.

We clean our accommodations during your stay in an agreed rhythm. For hygienic reasons, we use disinfectants with at least 70% alcohol and, above all, thoroughly disinfect all surfaces and also doorknobs. Final cleaning is mandatory and will be charged extra.

Prices, deposit & cancellation:

Prices vary depending the seasons, please ask the provider. A 50% deposit is required. The contract can be canceled free of charge up to 30 days in advance.

The studio apartment first floor

Furnishing:

The studio apartment on the first floor with a incredible pool and garden view can be reached by a rustic external staircase with a separate entrance. It is approx. 40 square meters in size and has an open design with a beautiful view over the garden and the pool. It has an open kitchen and bedroom plus a living room as well as a shower room/toilet. It is very bright, completely renovated and equipped. In the separated sleeping area is a king size bed with a large drawer cabinet for storing clothes. Air conditioning ans fans as well as mosquito screens on all windows are available. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, coffee maker, gas hob, toaster and microwave and is perfect for self-sufficient. You are also able to have a breakfast or eat comfortably on the Caribbean palapa terrace in front of the house. The open living area is furnished with a pull-out sofa bed (where a 3rd or possibly 4th person can sleep), living room table, TV and two chairs. WiFi is all over included. Basic equipment for cooking and eating (pots, pans, plates, cutlery) are available. Furthermore, a parking space belongs to the house. It is possible to use the pool and the garden palapa collectively (exception: breakfast in the studio apartment will be served on the private terrace and not in the garden palapa).
